Rich Kelly makes poster art that is at once wildly fresh and inarguably sophisticated. Brendan Danielsson

Danielsson's portraits are wonderfully ugly.  Though each piece incorporates the image of a sole person, there is plenty of conflict.  The pieces easily explore ideas of beauty and ugliness; they are at once sensual and repulsive.  While appearing almost alien each portrait is somehow still strangely familiar.  Danielsson is able to portray each ‘character’ as clearly part of a larger hidden narrative.

Sangduck Kim

South Korean artist Sangduck Kim's work brings to mind the paintings of Francis Bacon (see post dated January 10, 2013), using the bathroom as his stage for surreal and disturbing images.
